Steel beams are threaded under the building on top of hemlock blocking. Hydraulic jacks are placed under the steel beams, which are then put under the steel beams and connected to a lifting system. The structure is then safely raised to allow for the removal and replacement of the foundation.

The structure itself can be slid over to provide full access to the foundation, or it can be lifted and left in place if space is limited. Most importantly, the methods used by Shield Foundation Repair have redundant safety systems to ensure the structure isn’t damaged.
